NorthWestern Energy’s Continuous Service Agreement (CSA) helps property owners manage their rentals and the utilities that keep them running. You choose the option that works best for you, and NorthWestern Energy will take care of the rest.
Our online services for property managers allow you to:
- Confirm tenant sign-ups, pending service requests and balances owed
- Pay balances quickly and easily online
- Add/remove properties
- View up to 24 months of energy usage history for individual addresses
- Download an Excel spreadsheet with information about all your properties

We have two options to meet your needs:
Move Out Option
- Service is automatically transferred back to the owner when a tenant moves out.
- NorthWestern Energy will attempt to notify the owner when service is transferred back into their name.
Always Option
- Service is automatically transferred back to the owner during a break in service, including when services are being disconnected due to non-pay.
- NorthWestern Energy will attempt to notify the owner when service is transferred back into their name.
How to sign up
Step 1
Work with NorthWestern Energy to get a signed Continuous Service Agreement. Contact us by phone or in the office to begin this process.
Step 2
Have the customer number from your signed Continuous Service Agreement and one form of ID handy.
Step 3
Go to NorthWesternEnergy.com, select My Energy Login and click Continuous Service Agreement Corner.
Step 4
Click Register.
Step 5
Enter your customer number, accept the Terms and Conditions, then click Submit.
Step 6
Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your ID and set up your online account.
